GiRl
I look at the face staring back at me,
Her face is full of life yet marked with worry.
Eyes...
like two fading stars in the storm of the night,
twinkling with all their might.
searching for something... someone?
Rosiness fills her cheeks as she shies away.
Her lips,
smile at me with warmth...
wanting to say so much,
but her eyes do all the talking.
Hair,
a wild but tamed wonderous beast,
uniquely designed for her gentle face.
I sit here all alone.
And she sits there all alone,
in her own shadowless world.
We will wait for you.
that day will come.
When I will have you...
and she will have your reflection.

This is my fav. Love this one......you r good MashaAllah....
ReplyDeleteI wrote one like this a few years back. It's called 'I See Myself':
ReplyDeletelooking at the window, I gaze into her eyes
they speak a story of, emptiness and despise
hollowed-out cheeks, no laughter to spare
straight black hair, that sings of despair
who’s the cause, of this loneliness?
is it something else, why is she like this?
I reach out my fingers, and her’s reach mine
the only thing separating us, thin glass through the mind
